Fine Golf Books & Memorabilia: The Library of John M. McClelland, Jr., & other owners

This unique & rare collection of fine golf books & memorabilia is from the Library of John M McCleland, a Seattle newspaper man and publisher. He was an early member (actually member #259) of the Golf Member’s Society, a youth competitor golfer, long time book collector and very involved in North West History.
Several highlights in this auction of 424 lots:
Additional lots that are rare in Golf collector world are lot 371; a very rare USGA Program – 1935 National Open Golf Championship, which is interesting to compare to Lot 400; a very moving program copy of the 2001 World Golf Championships – American Express Championship which was canceled after 911 attacks.
Another very rare item is Lot 76, a book by Bernard Darwin.
This book is a first print and in the original jacket.
There is something for every golf memorabilia collector: trophies, fine art prints & engravings, rare books, and even an Bel-Air Country Club receipt signed by Sean Connery (Lot 67). Don’t miss this one!

The American Angus Association hosted a roundtable discussion to assess the impact of internet technology on the American Angus Association (www.angus.org) and its clientele. Sebastian Baerend and John Evans served as expert panelists because of their expertise and experience in the areas of ecommerce, website design and development, and internet technology for the cattle industry. The discussion forum included Angus Association Board of Directors, staff, and executive management. Experts from marketing associations and issues management also participated in the discussion. The American Angus Association is a leader in the beef cattle industry and the producers of high quality beef.
